East Perth, WA Public Transport Operations Control Centre
The Public Transport Operations Control Centre (PTOCC) is ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s second project for the Western Australian government’s METRONET infrastructure development.
This $72 million project, part of the METRONET initiative, involved building a 6-storey facility to support the High-Capacity Signalling (HCS) project. The construction used 700 tonnes of precast panels, 5,500m³ of concrete, and 1,000 tonnes of reinforcement. Design optimisations saved 500m³ of concrete, 2 weeks, and 200-tonnes of reinforcement. The project also included a High-Voltage room, bike store, car park, and public artwork titled ‘Kulbardi Season’.
The fit out phase involved creating a Central Monitoring Room with 20 operator desks, a large DvLED video wall, a raised access floor, as well as a new interim Network Control Centre and an internal curtain wall with acoustically rated glazing. Extensive collaboration with stakeholders and meticulous planning were required to meet the PTA’s 24/7 operational requirements. ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ received commendation from the PTA for delivering a high-quality and robust facility with premium finishes within the agreed timeframe.
This project highlights ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s ability to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
